They breathe in coastal sun, resist creasing through a long day, and still photograph as formal tailoring. Pure linen wrinkles too readily for a wedding; heavy flannel is too warm outside of winter evenings.
What the climate actually does to a suit
San Diego weddings tend to run warm and bright during the ceremony, then cool sharply after sunset near the water. A cloth chosen only for the afternoon will feel thin in the evening; a cloth chosen only for the evening will be punishing at two in the afternoon.

Fabrics to be careful with
